Verse Of The Day

Psalm 63:3-4

Because your steadfast love is better that life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

I love to sing to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ as I do chores around the house, it makes me have this joyful, youthful feeling and I end up enjoying what I'm doing more as my spirit gets uplifted from the praises to My God.
Do you ever feel that way when you praise and worship God? Oh how wonderful it is to be a child of the most high God.

Waiting Patiently on God

1 Samuel 13:8-10
He (Saul) waited for seven days, the time appointed by Samuel, But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, the people were scattering from him. So Saul said " Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings" and he offered the burnt offering. As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him.

Sometimes we get impatient and take matters into our own hands instead of waiting on the Lord.

When we pray for something and it seems like God is taking longer than we think he should or longer than we want, we start to help him answer the prayers by relying on other means or we go to our B plan for the avid planners.

This is not the way God wants us to act. ! Samuel 13:11 a Samuel said " what have you done?" ....in verse 13 Samuel tells him he had done foolishly.... the Lord would have established his kingdom over Israel forever but since he did not obey the Lord, his kingdom would not continue.

We deprive ourselves off of blessings when we don't wait on the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

My Prayer today for you and me is that the Lord Almighty may give us strength & courage to wait patiently on him

What Defines you? - We are not defined by the size of our Jeans

I read this devotion and copied it from http://proverbs31.org/devotions/devo/
you read it there. It's titled NOT DEFINED BY THE SIZE OF OUR JEANS

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NASB) The moon was a slice of white in the night sky. It looked like the rim of a coffee mug, the mug with a picture of a teddy bear saying “I love you beary, beary much” … the mug my brother gave me when I was 13 and hospitalized for anorexia. Here I was again, in a green hospital gown, only this time, I wasn’t hypothermic and 60 pounds. This time I was holding a baby doctors had said I’d never be able to have. He was 8 pounds, 2 ounces, his name was Aiden Grey and I couldn’t stop crying. Because he couldn’t stop hiccupping. “Is he okay?” I touched the nurse’s elbow as she straightened my sheets. She smiled. “Yes,” she said. “There’s nothing that can be done for hiccupping — it just has to take its course,” and I tucked Aiden close to my heart, because I couldn’t tuck him back into my womb. I have two sons now, and I’ve had two miscarriages too, and there’s nothing harder than watching your body fail your baby. But God — He never fails. He is always there. Even in the miscarriage. He was there when I was a pastor’s kid who began starving herself at age 9; when I was an 18-year-old hippie who ran away from home and traveled the world searching for faith. When I came home to a mother who was dying from brain cancer, who still sang Great is Thy Faithfulness from somewhere deep her in sleep. In the midst of our pain, He is there, hanging from a cross, only to rise again. When I was young I stopped eating to avoid feeling pain. Now, I’m learning to wait for the resurrection. I’m learning to trust God in the ache. This past spring, I looked out my office window, saw snow on the ground, and my 2-year-old jumping on our trampoline. Naked. His clothes strewn around him, and he was singing. I laughed even as I ran to cover him, but secretly, I was envious. I envied the freedom to sing naked, oblivious to the audience of a highway running perpendicular to our house. Perhaps this is a picture of what God’s Word invites us to do in 1 Peter 5:7, where it says cast “all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” It’s not easy to truly cast our anxiety on Jesus in a world that tells us we are defined by the size of our jeans. It’s a lot easier to hide, than trust Jesus with our pain, or our questions about who we are and if we matter. And I think it’s somewhere in there, in that quiet place of being loved — in the mother’s embrace of her baby — that we find ourselves. The other night in a rare moment of quiet in my house, I felt as if I had stepped straight into love. Like it had been waiting there for me the whole time. I saw the real me: a passionate, scatter-brained 33-year-old woman who loves the world deeply and laughs loudly and needs alone time. Who gets paint on the kitchen table when she’s making art, who would rather write than do housework, who has tattoos, who cries when her sons refuse to listen to her. And suddenly I knew who I was. Right in the middle of that sacred moment surrounded by Legos and train tracks. I was loved. It’s who we all are, friends. We’re not defined by the size of our jeans. We’re not the sum of our Twitter followers or the square feet of our house. We are God’s daughters, tucked in His arms, where He aches over hiccups, where He longs to carry our worries, and where He would die for us. He did die for us. Yes, this, friends. We are loved. Dear God, help me know You love me. Help me feel Your caring arms around me today, even in the dark. Help me hear Your voice singing over me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. TRUTH FOR TODAY: Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (NIV) RELATED RESOURCES: Atlas Girl: Finding Home In The Last Place I Thought to Look by Emily T. Children and Internet

With the way children are on the internet so much I wanted to share some of the you tube videos that I have found to be actually good and beneficial to our little critters the times they are on the net.

Not that any of these are better of than good old outside play with dirt and nature.

Rizers playlist - this are bible verses made into songs to help children memorize bible verses I have to say when I listen to them with my two year old I have learnt a few verses myself :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5DBY3Bo_NA&list=PLE1B861669C949A48

Veggie tales bible songs and stories - My two year old loves I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart. I just you tube search it

www.pbskids.org very educational videos

Busy Beaver - Educational videos for children, my two year old learnt Counting 1-20, ABC's, Colors and Shapes before she turned two.
https://www.youtube.com/user/wearebusybeavers

All in all as we monitor what our children watch on TV and internet we should also let them play outside and learn nature, that is always the most fun, well at least that's what I think.

Living for the Weekend

My thought for today comes mainly from a bible study I attended for the first time today and I loved the message. The book we were studying is called The Gospel Project for Adults - Session 5 (The Sabbath is a gift from God that reminds us who we are.

Its the session was long to write all of it down so I will just share the highlights that I loved.

1. God gives us the Sabbath so we can refocus (Deut 5:12)
2. God gives us the Sabbath so we can rest (Deut 5:13-14)
3. God gives us the Sabbath so we can remember (Deut 5:15)

Honestly I think the fourth commandment is the one we break easily and don't even feel guilty about it. Looking at it, working on Saturday or Sunday is paid higher than other days and we work this two days its harder to set aside another day to honor our Lord.

Setting aside a day to honor the Lord is beneficial to us in many ways a few of which include;

1. Our identity can become wrapped up in our work, when we take time to refocus we get reminded that we were designed by God and he has a purpose for us which is not getting ourselves consumed by our Jobs/work or gaining worldly possessions

2. When we take the time to rest our physical bodies get rejuvenated and also we spend time reading the word of God and focusing solely on him. Setting aside a day to rest without doing anything pertaining to our work gives us time not only to get to know God better but also to spend time with our family.

3. Observing the Sabbath helps us remember what the Lord has done for us.

Do you observe the Sabbath? Is it a delight to you or a burden?

Worry

Lately I have been having issues bothering me and then the bother turned into worry when solution seemed to not be imminent. I have to say that when I have something in my mind no matter what I try to do it keeps creeping back to the fore front of my thoughts at the most unexpected times and unless I have a solution its hard to ignore it.

Have you ever experienced this?

Well today after work I asked God to renew a right spirit within me and he did. The song What a friend we have in Jesus came to mind and as I started singing it, the message started coming through as I analyzed the message. "What peace we often forfeit, when we do not carry everything to God in prayers" We will have trials and temptations but we should never be discouraged but take it to the Lord in prayers. Now when we take things to the Lord in prayer and he shows us the way we should go then it is on us to take the next step, just because we prayed doesn't mean we sit down in complacency and expect the solution to just fall in our laps. I have done all I can now I'll trust God for a solution and work according to the way he guides me.

After you've done all you can, you just stand
when there's nothing left to do
you just stand
Watch the lord see you through
Yes after you done all you can,
You just stand
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuMLBhrKHsA

Whatever you are going through today ask God for help and trust him to see you through. Release it to the Lord and have peace.

God's grace and Mercy

God is rich in mercy to all who call on him. Imagine all we do as human beings that is contrary to God's word and yet he still loves us and forgives our sins when we ask for forgiveness. That shows how full of Mercy and Love our God is.

James 4:2 & 3 says you desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. YOU DO NOT HAVE BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ASK. You ask and do not receive BECAUSE YOU ASK WRONGLY, to spend on your own passions.

Sometimes we misinterpret the scriptures to suit our own desires, but God has made it clear in his word. When you ask God for something, have you searched your heart to check your motivation? Are you asking because you saw someone else with it? or because you would like to be seen that you have? or do you really need what you are asking for? Also having what you are asking for, will it draw you closer to God or away from God, will you be glorifying God with it? Is it a want or a need?

Because God loves us so much, I believe some of the things we ask for and do not get are actually for our benefit. I have several instances where in hindsight I see why my prayers were not answered while in actual sense God did answer just not in the way I wanted.

Life's problems remind us to call on God.

If our life was smooth sailing, would we need God in our life, would we remember to pray and thank God?
I thank God for what I have gone through in life, it has made me get closer to him, though I may not have realized this when I was going through hard times, reflecting back on those moments show me how God cares for me.

What ever you may be going through right now, trust God for your future and serve him now.  Remember God loves you and care for you. Jeremiah 29:11 sums it al up

Uplifting songs

Today I just wanted to share some uplifting songs reminding us when we feel low where our hope and Joy is.

Center of my Joy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsRLCQg-PSc

The bible says to put our treasures in thing above and not the things of the world, Mathew 6:19-21 you see where your treasure is there is your heart is also. This way even when we are without the extra comforts of this world, we can still smile for our Joy is in the Lord

Jesus is Love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E62ZfiHiCYc

When I show love to others it brings joy to my heart even when I feel down, Jesus will never stop loving you. Love those around you and those you come across and you will be blessed. It is the greatest commandment to love one another

What does the bible say about our motives and intentions

Each of our actions is driven by some motive or goal and is in a way benefiting us. Every act of generosity or charity also benefit us somehow, I do not think that it's bad, only when we are not glorifying God in our actions or thoughts or when we put conditions to our acts that I feel it would be better to not even do the generous act in the first place. Thus said attached is a link of bible verses that speak on motives and intentions.

http://www.openbible.info/topics/motives

The next time you do something, evaluate your motives and ask yourself, I'm I glorifying God solely or I'm I doing this to be praised. Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ

God's Promises

God's does fulfill his promises.

Let's take a look at some of God's promises, Note that some come with a condition for us.

Jeremiah 29:13,14 God promises that if you seek him WITH ALL YOUR HEART you will find him, and he will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations......

I love Jeremiah 29 especially verse 11 which tells me God has plans for me, for welfare and not for evil, to give me a future and a hope.

Proverbs 1:33 But whoever LISTENS to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster

Mathew 11:28-30 COME TO ME all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for  I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply all your NEEDS according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name HUMBLE THEMSELVES and PRAY and SEEK MY FACE and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Choices -What does God say about this.

In life, we are assured to come to times when we have to make decisions which almost always involves choices, some seem small and insignificant others are huge and impact our life immensely. Some of the choices we are faced with may seem insignificant but what we choose can and will affect our eternal life.

Mathew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Most of the time the easy choice is not always the best choice.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. I would say to apply this principal when making choices.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death

A lot of people are faced with difficult decisions especially people in power, what can they do? example - when a president feels he has to sign a bill that is not in line with God's law what can he do?

On a lighter note - I was watching parking wars and a group of people parked illegally to unload stuff as they prepared for National prayer day and as a result, received parking tickets they were not happy. They said they were volunteers for the National Day of Prayers. Was the parking attendant wrong in giving them tickets or were they wrong in parking illegally? should the parking attendant have excused them since they had parked temporarily to do a good deed? (the attendant initially didn't know why they had parked there) did it matter why they had parked there anyway?
Ponder that.

I would love to know your opinion.

From Overcome to Overcomer

I received this very encouraging and educational notes from Alive to God andhope they will bless you too

FROM OVERCOME TO OVERCOMER
INTRODUCTION• Many people are facing challenges and issues in this day and age.
• Just this week I have received over 1000 prayer requests detailing tremendous issues and obstacles. As I read these request my heart was stirred by the magnitude of the things people are facing.
• Life is not always easy and often the battle can be more than we ever thought possible.
• Perhaps you are in just such a position or perhaps you know someone going through something challenging right now.
• Do you know how to cope with the challenge you are facing?
• Do you know how to advise others and encourage them in the process?
• The truth is we all face things in the course of life.
• We must always remember that we live in two realms. The material world and the spiritual world. The visible realm and the invisible realm.
• And God wants to bring us to a place of overwhelming victory and He wants us to be more than conquerors.

SCRIPTURE READINGRomans 8:35-37 ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’ (NLB) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
1. OUR FAITH WALK CAN BE COMPARED TO.....             • Our faith walk is not a mere stroll in the park, nor is it a bed of roses.
• The Bible compares it to:
1. A RaceHebrews 12:1 ‘And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.’  In the Amplified Bible it says: ‘and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us!’ The term RACE speaks of an athletic contest, but the Greek original is wider than this and it speaks of a ‘struggle in the soul’. The original Greek word is ‘agon’ and we get the English word agony from this word. We are given some keys in handling the race! We must run with PATIENT ENDURANCE. We must run with STEADY AND ACTIVE PERSISTANCE. We must run THE APPOINTED COURSE SET BEFORE US. We can’t and should not try to run someone else’s race.

2. A Building That Is Under Construction1 Corinthians 3:10 ‘By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.’  None of us are there yet. We are building and our lives can be compared to a building that is still under construction. We all would prefer the finished product. But GOD is not finished with us yet. I remember reading a quote some years ago and it said: ‘Be patient with me, God is not finished with me yet!’ Your life is a building that is still under construction.

3. A Fight1 Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of the faith.’ Again the original Greek word for this term ‘fight’ is ‘agon’ meaning a struggle in the soul from which we get the English word agony or agonize. And we should handle the fight as one who recognizes that he has an adversary. It is not just a matter of the ‘road being steep’ but we have an adversary – the devil, and we must fight on. We must never surrender and we must never throw in the towel. Our faith walk can be compared to a fight.

4. A Wrestling MatchEphesians 6:12 ‘We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.’ A wrestling match is a very intense picture of a struggle. God’s Word translation: ‘This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent.’ Wrestling is a form of combat. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. God wants to give you and I the upper hand and we must realize we are in this fight and our battle is not against flesh and blood. The odds are much higher. Our faith walk can be compared to a wrestling match.

5. Our Faith Walk Is Warfare - 2 Timothy 2:3-4 ‘Take your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.’ The analogy the Bible uses is that we are soldiers. You and I are soldiers, soldiers of Christ. He is our commander and the battle is His. We can’t just coast through the challenges of life. Our faith walk is warfare and we are soldiers. There is a great old hymn with the following words: Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see His banners go! Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.
2. GOD'S PLAN - OVERWHELMING VICTORY • This is God’s plan for your life.
• Your situation may look far from this, but God wants to bring you to this point.
Romans 8:35+37 ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’
• (NLB) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
What is a conqueror?
• A conqueror is someone who overcomes.
• It is someone who gains the upper hand.
• It is someone who defeats that which would like to defeat him!
• It is someone who prevails.
• It is someone who is completely and overwhelmingly victorious.
• This is God’s plan and purpose for you.
3. WE HAVE POWERFUL WEAPONS AT OUR DISPOSAL• We have not been left to fight the battle with no weapons.
• God has given us what we need in order to stand firm and fight any onslaught that may come against us.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 ‘For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.’• What are these weapons that we have access too?

• 1. The Word Of GodPsalm 119:50 ‘This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has revived me.’ The old translation says: ‘Thy word hath quickened me.’ As believers we have the Word Of God and it is a powerful tool. As believers we have a peculiar source of strength. Others may think it strange, but God’s word is living and powerful and His word can overcome the greatest hurdle. The word quickened means to ‘make alive’. That is exactly what God wants to do for you and His Word is that powerful tool in your arsenal. Look to His Word, no matter what trial you may be facing, it will never fail you! Ralph Erskine said the following: ‘I can trust the words of God; but when they are the words of men, it costs me an effort to think whether I may trust to them.’ Charles Spurgeon said: ‘There is more in one divine sentence than in huge folios of human composition.’ Let your soul leap at the very sound of the Word of God. It is by every word of God that men and women are made to live and are kept alive. Feed on God’s word no matter what your fight may be.

• 2. The Name Of JesusPhilippians 2:10 ‘that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth!’ The name of Jesus is another weapon in our arsenal. His name is powerful. I recently heard a song with the following words: ‘When you don’t know what to say, just say Jesus!’ Just say Jesus! Just say Jesus! Call out to the Way, the Truth and the Life. Speak out His name. There is just one name! Acts 4:12 ‘No one else can save us. Indeed, we can be saved only by the power of the one named Jesus and not by any other person.’
• 3. The Blood Of JesusRevelation 12:11 ‘They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb!’ The original Greek word for the word we translate as ‘triumphed’ includes coming off victorious from the battle. To conquer, prevail and overcome. Apply the blood of Jesus to all areas of your life. There is another old song that captures this: ‘Oh, the blood of Jesus! x3 It washes white as snow. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. x2’

• 4. Our ConfessionRomans 10:10 ‘For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.’ Watch what comes out of your mouth. Don’t allow negativity and doubt to come out of your mouth. Speak life, speak hope, speak purpose, speak His Word. Romans 10:9 ‘If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ What we say and our confession is vital. Proverbs 18:21 ‘The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’

• 5. Praise and Worship2 Chronicles 20:22 ‘As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.’ Praise and worship is a powerful key to overcoming and conquering. You may say; but this is a silly thing to do? It may seem silly, but it is a powerful tool. When we praise and worship we focus on God and His greatness and the focus moves off our problems and challenges and sets us up for success. Get some good praise and worship cd’s and fill your heart and mind with it. If you can’t afford that, just take some of your favorite praise and worship songs or some of the great hymns and start singing them. Praise is most unconventional warfare. Get ready for a turnaround for your victory is in your praise.

• 6. PrayerPhilippians 4:6 ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ Turn your worries and cares into prayer. When we pray, we open the door for God to come into our problems and situations and work on them. John Bunyan said the following: ‘Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God and a scourge for satan.’ Corrie Ten Boom, who survived the holocaust said the following: ‘Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees.’ Arthur Hopkins: 'Our prayer and God’s mercy are like two buckets in a well; while one ascends, the other descends.'
Psalm 107:28-30 ‘Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and He brought them to their desired haven.’

PRAYERLord Jesus I acknowledge that You are my God. I submit myself to Your Lordship in my life – rule in my life Lord Jesus.

And now, Satan and every evil spirit that is attacking me, I resist you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I refuse you access to my life, my body, my family, my finances, my mind and my possessions. All that I have and am belongs to Jesus, the Son of the living God.

Satan I break any hold you have on me. I have been washed in the blood of Jesus and I declare that you have no authority or right over me. Jesus lives in me and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Satan, I cast you out of my life. I break any influence you may have had over me and declare you to be the loser.  You are totally defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible says: Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Flee in Jesus’ name.

Thank you Jesus. Amen

2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘But I thank God, who always leads us in victory (triumph and Victory) because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It's like a fragrance that fills the air.’

Relationships.

When you are starting a relationship with someone and you are very interested in them what do you do most?
     -Talk to the person?
     - Spend time with the person?
     - Plan fun times with the person?
     - If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend, Husband/wife, parents, siblings or children, think "what are you doing or have you done to strengthen your relationship?"

I'm sure you have come up with different things, but one thing almost all of us like to do is SPEND TIME with the person.

When spending time with someone we do at least two things. Talk & Listen. We may also just sit in silence and enjoy each others company. When we do this we grow closer to each other which results in many benefits.

Same thing should apply to our relationship with Our Lord and Savior. James 4:8 first part says Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. That could not have been more clearly written. One may ask, well how do I get closer to God? By
1.Talking to him through prayer

2. Reading his word from the Bible and obeying it

3. Put aside sometime every day to be silent and listen to God (quiet time)

4. Praise and worship God in everything you do.

There is many blessings that results from being close to God.

Today's thought.

As I study the word of God, I like to write down what I learnt and this is what I took from a reading this morning.

Satan comes in all forms, shapes and sizes. He will come through unexpected avenues, don't always think it will be obvious. He may use someone you are with daily to throw some doubts or temptations in subtle, seemly harmless ways. Mathew 16:22 Satan came through Peter..

So what do we do? - We ask God for guidance in discerning this and rebuking Satan away from us, not the person but the evil spirit. Mathew 16:23a But he turned around and said to Peter "Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me.... Now, this is tricky isn't it? you do not want to be labeled as the crazy person that goes around rebuking people.. but you need to cast the demons away from you, do not just agree to please the person thus accepting what they may be speaking in your life that you should not be accepting or even do not agree with, Most importantly things that are not of God.

When our faith is shaken

Mathew 11:30
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out "Lord Save Me"

Every now and then we face trying times, we may be filled with worry and anxiety from all that is going on around us in this world. (the wind in Peter's case) causing our faith to be shaken, when you begin to sink or better yet before you begin to sink, call out to The Lord Jesus Christ, and he will come to your rescue.

Mathew 11:31a
Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying "O you of Little faith why did you doubt"

Psalm 107:28-30 ‘Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and He brought them to their desired haven.’
Do not be of little faith and do not doubt that that the Lord can and will take you past what you are going through. Trust him

Waiting on God.

It's one of the Hardest things to do but the best thing.

As I wait for the Lord, I have realized it tempting to try to figure things out on my own using my human nature, trying this then that and when it doesn't work out getting discouraged feeling low and so forth. I speak to friends and get encouraged when I'm reminded God's will for me is best.

My prayer today is Lord teach me to wait patiently for you, Your will for my life is best for me and I want your will to prevail in my life. Give me patience, peace while I wait, Wisdom to handle each day that you bless me with, and wisdom to utilize the blessing you have showered on me for your Glory. In Jesus name I pray Amen

Whatever you maybe going through right now, whether its Job searching, waiting to find a husband or wife, financial difficulty, family issues, Pray to God let him know all your worries and anxieties surrender them to him and let his will and not yours prevail in your life.

Be blessed

One day at a time

Well, Today has ended very well. Thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today's Happening - I started to blog... :)

I'm hoping that some day this will encourage someone along way in their day to day up's and Down's

This week I went for an interview and received a call later...I didn't get the position I was interviewed for but.... I was asked if I would consider another position in the same organization which I'm supposed now to receive another call on Monday to schedule an interview for that position. Needless to say I was so disappointed not to be starting a work soon....mmmh!!!

God works in ways that we cannot always explain, today while preparing dinner, I started listening to Hymns on YouTube. I started with What a friend we have in Jesus, then chose one of the recommended ones, if you have watched any YouTube video you know what I'm talking about. Count your blessings, some other Jim Reeves songs, then One day at a time sweet Jesus. I realized I'm blessed and Joy was flowing in my heart from worshiping God. My daughter was enjoying the hymns too.

Well so much for my first day, I'll add to this later

Be blessed
